GETTING THERE


Access by road is mainly through the state of Rio de Janeiro (Rodovia Presidente Dutra) for people from São Paulo as well as people from Rio de Janeiro.

People coming from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo have two options: from Resende, take the exit to Penedo and go through a sealed road in Visconde de Mauá. From there begins the 22 km off road track up to the Santo Antonio do Rio Grande.

There is another way for people from Rio, also through Resende: leave at exit 305 from Dutra road in the direction of Pedra Selada (Vargem Grande) and begin the of road track through Serra do Eme – Ponte de Souza – Bocaína de Minas - Santo Antônio do Rio Grande. There will be approximately a 54 km off road drive.

People leaving from Rio and who prefer a sealed road can take the BR 040 up to Juiz de Fora. From there take the BR 267 in the direction to Lima Duarte/Circuito das águas – continue to Liberdade. After passing through the town center, take the road in the direction of Bocaína de Minas. Take the roundabout access to Bocaína and follow up to Santo Antonio do Rio Grande (off-road driving).

People coming from Juiz de Fora can take BR 267 up to Liberdade After passing through the town center, take the road in the direction of Bocaína de Minas. Take the roundabout access to Bocaína and follow up to Santo Antonio do Rio Grande (off-road driving).
